JB Marks Education Trust Fund Welcomes 2025 Intake with Inspiring Induction Workshop
On January 31st, the JB Marks Education Trust Fund proudly hosted the first day of its annual induction workshop for the 2025 cohort at the Elijah Barayi Memorial Training Centre. Aspiring learners from across the country gathered to meet our dedicated staff and board members, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their academic journey.
The workshop commenced with a heartfelt welcome from Refilwe Motloane, the Professional Development Officer. Together with the JB Marks team, she provided a clear and detailed introduction to the fund’s guidelines, policies, and procedures. This essential session addressed key topics such as registration, accommodation, and book allowances—ensuring that every beneficiary felt well-informed and supported.
Adding to the day’s inspiration, Acting Principal Officer, Cdr Commander Bongani Dlamini, engaged with the learners, sharing uplifting success stories from the fund’s history. His words of encouragement reinforced the life-changing impact of education and warmly welcomed the new beneficiaries into the JB Marks family.
The day concluded on a powerful note with an address from the Chairperson of the JB Marks Board, Cdr Lefty Mashego. Reflecting on the fund’s rich legacy and purpose, he urged beneficiaries to embrace the opportunities before them and to remain focused on their academic goals.
